About Ray Hunt

Ray Hunt has spent most of his life on the water. He grew up fishing the New River in West Virginia, where an early love for bass, catfish, crappie, and time outdoors turned into a lifelong passion for freshwater fishing.  

For more than 50 years, Ray has lived in Texas while building his real estate career and spending as much time as possible learning local waters, especially Lake Conroe. That long-term time on the lake helps him understand seasonal patterns, productive areas, and how conditions can change throughout the year.

In 2023, Ray turned that lifelong passion into a guide service built around honest local knowledge, safe trips, and a relaxed day on the water.

Ray enjoys introducing anglers of all experience levels to fishing on Lake Conroe, whether the goal is catching supper, learning the lake, or spending quality time with family and friends. Guests can expect clear communication, a friendly atmosphere, and a trip focused on making the day both productive and enjoyable.
